With You Always Sacramental Programme

With You Always is the sacramental preparation programme used throughout the Liverpool Archdiocese to help children and their families prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

At St James Church, the programme is led by our dedicated Family Catechists and is designed for children in Year 4 (aged 8–9). The programme supports parents and carers in their important role as the primary educators of their children in the Catholic faith, encouraging families to grow together in their understanding of the sacraments and their relationship with Christ.

The programme begins in September and continues through to April. During this time, monthly sessions are held in church for both children and their parents or carers. These gatherings include prayer, catechesis, activities, and opportunities for families to learn together as the children prepare to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Participation in the programme is an important part of your child’s faith journey and provides a welcoming environment where families can deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith while becoming more involved in the life of the parish.
